The movie adaptation of the cult-status game, Max Payne, is currently in the works, and the first photos from the shoots are already on the Internet.

Mark Wahlberg will star as Max Payne, and although he might not look like Max Payne from the game, he definitely is a great actor. The director is John Moore, famous for his work on “Behind Enemy Lines.”



We also heard that the movie will be made so that it gets a PG-13 rating, meaning that anyone of age 13 and higher will be able to watch it. Still, knowing the game’s brutal nature, this will be a hard task, and we sincerely hope that such attempts don’t ruin the movie.

The movie will launch on 17th October 2008.
