Epic has announced that the conversion of the Xbox 360 shooter, Gears of War, has gone gold and will hit retailers’ shelves on November 6th. The conversion of Gears of War for the PC was announced by Epic during E3 earlier this year.

The PC version of Gears of War will be compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista, unlike most other Windows Live titles. Since the title supports Windows Live, PC gamers will enjoy both achievement points and online matchmaking for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Gears of War on the PC will also feature the annex game mode and seven additional multiplayer map,s which were only available to Xbox 360 owners via a download from Xbox Live.

The PC version of Gears of War will hit the streets with a price tag of US$49.99 and will be rated “M” for Mature.
