Women in Games International conference on September 8th
Conference named “She Got Game”
Women in Games International, Inc. (WIGI) has announced they will be hosting their conference at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas following the Austin Games Developers Conference.
The keynote speaker will be presented by Professor Dona C. Bailey of the University of Arkansas. Professor Bailey was one of the few women programmers in the industry in the 1980s and also was the designer and programmer of the arcade game “Centipede,” one of the first video games to incorporate artificial intelligence.
The conference will focus on women’s contributions in the game development field and the importance of encouraging diversity in the industry workplace.
