We know Nintendo did a great job with its Wii console, but in spite of that their latest numbers are surprising and clearly demonstrate the extent of their console war triumph.

The company claims a net income increase of 514 per cent compared to the same quarter last year, from 15.6 to 80.3 billion Yen (aprox. $668 million). No wonder then that it has rasied its profit forecast to 245 billion yen, 41 percent more than the April estimate.

Along with the profit estimates, the company increased its Wii sales target by 18 per cent to 16.5 million, 5.5 million more then the Playstation 3 estimate.
