Asus' Immensitiy pixellized in details
Now with attached heatsinks
We managed to score a couple of new pictures of Asus' ROG Immensity motherboard, this time paired up with a rather big and impressive heatsink. Although there is still no word if this motherboard will ever be released as we are still talking about a concept, it now looks a bit more realistic due to the attention that Asus is giving it.
In case you missed it before, Asus' ROG Immensity is a concept motherboard showed at Computex that uses Lucid's Hydra chip in a rather unique way. It is based on Intel's X58 chipset, features integrated Radeon HD 5000 series GPU with dedicated GDDR3 memory and two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, all connected to the Lucid Hydra chip. This gives it the unique ability to use any other graphics card plugged in one of those PCI-Express slots and pair it up with the integrated Radeon HD 5000 series GPU.
The rest of the specifications include an 8-phase VRM, two SATA 6Gbps ports, two USB 3.0 ports, 7.1-channel audio, four PCI-Express x1 slots, ROG Connect, RC Bluetooth, DualBIOS and probably bunch of other Asus ROG features.
Here are the pictures.
