Gigabyte X58 Extreme BIOS settings posted
Independant Voltage settings
Despite the fact that the Core i7 platform hasn't even launched as yet, we've so far seen pictures of motherboard models and even some BIOS screen shots of some models, but nothing quite like this. German site JZ Electronic has posted a full set of BIOS screen captures with the optimal settings already pre-selected.
Besides the screen shots themselves, the interesting thing here is the fact that Gigabyte has implemented what appears to be separated Voltage control for the CPU and the memory, and as you can see from the bottom most screen shot, they're all running at different values.
It also appears as if you can tweak each DIMM by itself, which might be handy when it comes to getting even overclocks on three or six modules at a time. We'll have to wait for final boards to turn up before we can draw any conclusions from this, but it's interesting that what seemed to be a major limitation of this new platform might in fact only be a minor nuisance to the board makers.
You can find the screen grabs here.
