Nvidia's upcoming Hybrid SLI chipset will support VGA, DVI and upcoming Display port. It looks like there will be many announcements in 2008, as many vendors plan to support this new standard.
This new port will bring higher and better resolution and Nvidia believes that this is the way. Intel and AMD plan to support this new port, as well, and the good news is that DisplayPort can usually take care of HDMI devices, as well.
It seems that all future chipsets will come with support for this one; and remember, this port doesn’t need an LVDS and it has a big potential for success in notebooks.
