As of yesterday Nforce 780i in EVGA package is available, at least in the U.S. for a saucy US $289.99. This is the price of a dual or even triple SLI with Intel 45nm CPUs.
This is the first 780i motherboard out and this is pure Nvidia’s reference design. MSI, Asus and the other usual suspects will have their own custom designs, but these ones are scheduled for January time.
If you are not happy with this one, you will have 90 days to upgrade to a new one, and within that time there should be Nforce 790i that has the same features boosted with support for DDR3 memory.
The board will work with Yorkfield 45nm quad core CPUs, Tri SLI but only if you have three 8800GTX or Ultra cards and have PCIe 2.0 support.
You can buy a motherboard here.
