We got a link that proves that AMD might call its RX780 Northbridge and SB600 Southbrige the AMD 770 chipset. The last one that the company launched back in March is branded AMD760 so this sounds like a natural name to us.

The board based on this chipset will be simply branded as the A770M and it will support both Phenoms and any other AM2+ CPUs of the future.

This board has a single PCIe x16 slot, while the RD790 will be the one with two to four PCIe x16 graphics slots.

It is all here, at least until AMD forces it down.
