Intel just released a first batch of entry level G31 and P31
chipsets to motherboard manufactures and the motherboard based on this cheap
chipsets should follow in some four weeks.
It is a low season so there is absolutely no rush, as long
as they are out until middle of August and ready for back the school the timing
is good.
An interesting part is that both chipsets P31 non integrated
and G31 an integrated part will cost the same, $30 a piece and we don’t see a
point of making much P31 boards as it might cost the same as G31. This is the
official price but the big guns will get this chipset way cheaper.
