AMD claims that it was getting lots of attention from system builders at its annual Embedded Systems Conference.

The company is expanding its embedded product offerings with the release of the AMD M690 Chipset for Embedded Designs.

The chipset offers decent graphics and performance features and connectivity options. Backing up the AMD M690 Chipset announcement, the company also announced the AMD Socket S1 and AMD M690 chipset development board which it claims can manage a lower power and higher performance.

AMD said that its moves into the embedded market were attracting a lot of attention from system builders.
