Jetway has released what it claims is the first AMD chipset
powered Motherboard. The AMD 690 chipset is the first launch for Motherboards
since AMD’s acquisition of ATI.
It supports advanced display with built-in High Definition
Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and supports the Vista Premium edition. M2A692-GDG is based on AMD 690G Northbridge and
SB600 Southbridge. AMD 690G chipset
provides Jetway M2A692-GDG with flexibility and upgrade potential as it
supports all Radeon PCIe graphics cards on a system configured for either
single GPU or next generation multimedia operation. The graphic is Radeon X700 based and it supports DVI and
HDMI technologies.
The chipset uses ATI’s architecture to optimize speed and stability and Jetway
thinks that it does not need additional cooling systems if you are going to
attempt to overclock it.
