13.5-inch with Intel or 15-inch with AMD

Microsoft has now officially revealed all the juicy details regarding its new Surface Laptop 3 lineup, including the choice of two Intel CPUs for the 13.5-inch version, and two custom AMD APUs for the 15-inch version.

Better connectivity, and "all-day battery"

In addition to the Microsoft SQ1-powered Surface Pro X, Microsoft unveiled the 7th generation of its Surface Pro 2-in-1, giving it a much-needed hardware update, better connectivity, and all-day battery life.

After updating Core-X

Intel has updated its Core-X lineup basing it on the Cascade Lake series of processors and has halved the price of its older top-of-the-line Core i9 processors.

Supply problems will continue into the fourth quarter

Intel's supply issues do not appear to be getting better quickly, and it is looking like its chips will be in tight supply until Q4.

Cascade Lake-X CPU with 10-cores
