Asus outs affordable Windows 8 11-incher
Touch and Sandy for $549
Although Asus is trying to make a name for itself in the tablet space, it’s not ignoring more traditional markets.
The company has shown off a rather interesting notebook with an 11.6-inch touchscreen and Windows 8 to boot. The Asus Q200E does not tick all the ultrabook boxes, as it’s 0.9 inches thick and does not feature SSD storage. However, it still weighs in at just 1.4kg and let’s face it, 0.9 inches does not sound too bad either.
The Q200E is powered by a 1.4GHz Core i3 processor based on Sandy Bridge, it features 4GB of RAM and 500GB of traditional HDD storage. There’s also a USB 3.0 port on board and the price is $549. Pretty reasonable all things considered.
