It will be the first convertible notebook that will act as a proper tablet, claims Asus, but in reality it will be the well known Transformer running Windows RT (Windows on ARM). The hardware spec include 10.1 inch 1366x768 screen, IPS with similar viewing angles to the current Transformer and it is again powered by a Tegra 3 quad-core (four-plus-one-core) but the Windows machine has 2GB RAM, 1GB more than its Android counterpart.
The keyboard dock, 8-megapixel camera, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth4.0 are something that we’ve already seen on the original Android Transformer and the new addition is NFC.
We still hope to see some dual boot options, a Transformer that can run both Windows and Android, but we are quite sure that Microsoft won’t be the happiest puppy on the planet if such a device hits the market.
