Lenovo working on $800 ThinkPad ultrabook
Less Apple-ish than IdeaPad series
Lenovo has already announced a couple of IdeaPad ultrabooks, but they were geared towards mainstream consumers and fashionistas.
However, Lenovo tends to cater to professionals as well and it is also working on a ThinkPad version. It features Lenovo’s traditional, robust design which resembles a Glock handgun rather than a MacBook Air. It even boasts Gorilla Glass on its 13.3-inch screen.
In keeping with Thinkpad tradition, the new ultrabook will feature a matte black finish, track point and one novelty in the form of a LED backlit spill-resistant keyboard.
The best part of the story is the price. At $800 it could very well be one of the cheapest ultrabooks on the market, provided the competition doesn’t catch up in terms of pricing.
