According to Digitimes, Acer hopes to ship about one million units by the end of the quarter, which is not bad for an entirely new product series. Selling a million units in less than two months can be considered a success in the Android world. The company has reportedly stepped up its tablet efforts after the departure of former CEO Gianfranco Lanci.
In addition to the ARM-Android Iconia A500, Acer is also offering the W500, an AMD Fusion based tablet with Windows 7.
