Menlow is the name of the current generation Atom processor for sleek netbooks and tablets and the current representatives are Z5xx series. The top one is Z550 and it works at 2.0GHz with a maximum TDP of 2.4W. The only fact is that that Z series are quite old as some of them launched back in Q2 2008. They are all based on the first Atom and don’t have integrated graphics.
All Menlow-based products should “dominate” in 2010 before they get replaced by Oak Trail.
This 2011 embedded Atom platform has still not been made public, but we know that it's in the pipe and that we could expect it in very
early 2011.
After that,
Intel plans the next generation most likely in smaller manufacturing process
such as 32nm, but this is something yet to be confirmed. All we can confirme is
that the planned launch timeline is early 2012 and the way we see this platform
is as more power saving optimised Cedar Trail-M platform that can enable even
sleeker devices.
