Microsoft pulls plug on dual-screen tablet
Courier is no more
According to Gizmodo, Microsoft has pulled the plug on its innovative twin-screen tablet, codenamed Courier.
Microsoft told the development team that the project would no longer be supported for reasons unknown. Perhaps Microsoft thought it could not compete with Apple's overhyped iPad, or it ran into some technical issues, like MSI.
Speaking of MSI, it claims it will launch a similar product in Q4, so the concept will live on, provided MSI doesn't cancel it as well. That would truly be a shame, as the concept seems sound and we believe it could result in some interesting UI innovations.
