We couldn’t help but snuggly chuckle after seeing that Asus
calls its 1001PQ suitable for children, as we can’t recall anyone saying that
Pine Trail is just what children of the world were after all these years.
Be it as it may, the 1001PQ is one cute looking 10.1’’ netbook
with 1024x600 resolution and running on Intel’s Atom Pineview-M N450.
It features 1GB of memory, a 160GB HDD, WLAN 802.11b/g and a
Li-ion battery that’s supposedly good for up to 11 hours. Well, we can’t recall
children using more demanding tasks, so we guess that’s about right. Until they
learn how to turn the device on, that is.
The device will come in black, yellow and purple-black combination and will run on Windows 7. We're not sure about the pricing, but kids shouldn't expect to afford it with only their pocket money.
