Lenovo won't do slate tablet
Punters want a ThinkPad keyboard
Lenovo will surely update its tablet offer sooner than later, and even though that first ThinkPad was a slate tablet design, Lenovo will not follow the path paved by Apple and the rest of the market as according to their research, Lenovo customers are to attached to the quite famous Lenovo ThinkPad keyboard.
According to a CNET report, the company did some market research about the slate form factor and the results point out that customers would rather prefer to have a physical keyboard. This is quite understandable as the virtual keyboard, no matter how good it is, would be quite annoying for any serious work.
The reports on the iPad certainly point the same way, as a big part of the market likes what Apple has done, but would rather go for something that has a bit more potential rather than to have a fancy e-book reader that can surf the net without flash support.
