Netbook Atom N450 launches in January
Again January 3rd
It looks like January 3rd will be quite important day in Intel’s history, at least when it comes to notebooks and netbooks. Just four days before Consumer Electronic Show, America’s most famous computer and car audio show, Intel plans to unveil many Arrandale 32nm CPUs branded mostly as Core i7 or Core i5.
It gets better as this is the birthday for new Atom N450. The new Atom is part of many Pine-trail M netbooks and you should see a dozen of them announced at CES if not before.
Intel's Pinetrail M platform looks interesting due to its smaller board and chips footprint, lower TDP but the CPU won’t get much faster. It is clocked at a rather modest 1.66GHz but it should get a tad faster compared to Atom N270 clocked at 1.6GHz, as it has an integrated memory controller and integrated graphics.
