MSI has announced the newest addition to its Classic series of notebooks, the CR610. This 16-incher is based on AMD's Tigris platform and comes with Athlon II CPU and ATI's RS880 chipset.

The CR610 16-incher has 374x247x18-30mm dimensions and weighs 2.48kg with battery. As it is based on Tigris platform, the CR610 features both AMD's Athlon II dual-core CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 graphics thanks to the RS880M chipset. It features a 16-inch, 16:9 1366x768 display and can be equipped with up to 4GB of DDR2 667/800 memory in two DDR2 SO-DIMM slots.

The rest of the features include 250, 320 or 500GB 2.5-inch SATA hard drive, DVD Super-Multi optical drive, 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M web cam, Gigabit LAN, a 6-cell battery, 4-in-1 card reader, eSATA and D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The CR610 will ship with Windows 7 OS, but the exact availability date or the price weren't announced.
