HP releases drip dry computer
Keyboards with drains
HP's latest PC lineup comes with laptops which can handle beer and coffee being poured over them.
Each Probook b-series comes with a guttering system underneath a laptop keyboard. It means users can spill a cup of coffee, or glass of beer or whatever their spilling drink of choice is over the keyboard, and the liquid will be channeled towards a drain hole and out from the bottom of the laptop, saving it from damage.
It is not the first time this sort of technology has been seen. We saw it first demonstrated in 2007, but it is the first time it has been used commercially. It will be in the shops from October 22 a starting price of $799.
