Gigabyte's 13-inch CULV pictured
Looks like Sony's and FSC's lovechild
We managed to snap a few photos of Gigabyte's new 13-incher based on Intel's CULV platform, and it looks interesting, but Lars says build quality could have been better. Still, this is an early sample, and the M1305 is supposed to go on sale in late Q3, so there's plenty of time to make some improvements.
Gigabyte seems to have borrowed some design ideas from Sony, such as the sloping chassis at the rear and textured trackpad, while going for a colour scheme we used to see on FCS Amilos, just before the company broke up.
It doesn't look bad, although the chrome hinges are a bit tacky. Gigabyte has not revealed any specs, but we know what to expect from a CULV-based machine anyway.
