Dell has apparently started to take the netbook market more seriously, as it has launched its fourth netbook series so far.

Unlike previous Inspiron Mini series products, the Latitude 2100 targets the young, the very young that is. It's a playful little thing, featuring a kid-proof rubberized design, touchscreen, shoulder strap or carrying handle, and an antimicrobial keyboard.



Teachers will be able to store and charge up to 24 units using Dell's Mobile Computing Station docking cart, using a single Ethernet cable and one power cord.

The new Latitude will be available with Vista, XP or Ubuntu 8.10, and the cheapest one is priced at $369. Might be a bit steep for the education market.
