Ricoh's new R7 boasts a new image processing engine and the slimmest body of any wide zoom lens camera on the market.
It uses the third incarnation of Ricoh's Smooth Imaging Engine, a 8.15 megapixel CCD and has a very versitle wide angle 28-200mm F3.3- F5.2 lens with image stabilization.
The sleek body measures 99.6 x 55 x 23.3 mm (3.9 x 2.2 x 0.9 in), making it the thinnest camera in its class, and the weight is 135 g (4.8 oz). Just about enough to squeeze in the wide angle lens and a 2.7 inch 230k pixel screen.
It sill be available in silver, black and orange, and should hit the shelves next month at £229.99 inc vat.
