Intuit's Chief Executive Steve Bennett has said he is leaving the company at the end of the year. The maker of Turbo-tax reported a narrower loss and higher revenue than Wall Street expected during the typically unprofitable fourth quarter.

According to AP, it is unlikely that the company loss is his reason for going. Intuit makes most of its money around April when people need itsfinancial software.

Bennett said only "It's the right time for me to take some time off and explore the next challenge in my life. "He will be succeeded by Brad Smith who is the senior vice president andgeneral manager of Intuit's Small Business Division, which includes QuickBooks software.
