After over a year, Asus has finally decided to officially announce the Eee Keyboard PC, a small home entertainment PC packed in a standard QWERTY keyboard with a 5-inch touch screen.

According to Asus, the Eee Keyboard PC features an Atom N270 CPU paired up with Intel's 945GSE chipset, 1GB of DDR2 memory and either 16GB or 32GB of SSD storage, depending on the SKU. It has a two speakers and built-in mic, 802.11bgn WiFi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, Broadcom's 70010/70012 video decoder, and features an internal battery enough for 4 hours of usage.

The best part of the keyboard might be its 5-inch 800x480 multi-touch panel and HDMI output, something that isn't common on "keyboards". The entire keyboard weighs around 1.1kg and has already been listed over at Amazon.com with a US $599.99 price tag.

Unfortunately, neither the Asus or Amazon have released the precise availability date, but you can at least pre-order it.
