Hungary's state Competition Authority raided Microsoft's local subsidiary as part of an anti-trust probe into the company's relationship with large software distributors.

The authority is concerned that Microsoft used sales conditions and offered software distributors incentives, called described as "loyalty discounts", so they wouldn't offer clients anything but Microsoft Office.

It is worried that  this could lead to the exclusion of competitive products from the market and violate European Union rules.

The authority gathered evidence supporting these suspicions and said that the raid did not mean that Microsoft had broken the law.
