Russian prosecutors want judges to lock up Denis Kvasov, the former owner of the popular Russia-based music site Allofmp3.com According to German newspaper, Deutsche Presseagentur the prosecutor in the case has asked the court to sentence Kvasov to three years in prison and ordered him to pay $590,000 restitution to EMI, Warner and Universal.
Allofmp3 was targeted specifically by the RIAA who leant
on the US government to keep Russia out of the World Trade Organisation unless
it shut it down.
After the closure of Allofmp3.com, a new site cropped up,
Mp3sparks.com which is run by the former operators of Allofmp3.com.
