Reuters is reporting that the world's largest foundry for hire, Taiwan-based TSMC, is looking to significantly expand manufacturing capacity.

TSMC said it plans to hire 3,000 new workers, mostly engineers, but it did not reveal any timeline for the expansion, nor did it announce investments in its infrastructure.

The company currently employs more than 23,000 worldwide.
