TSMC is on track to rake in around $31 billion from just two of its high-end semiconductor nodes.

According to DigiTimes TSMC's revenue for Q2 2024 alone hit $10.4 billion, making up about 40 per cent of the total revenue for the first three quarters. This meteoric rise is mainly due to the Taiwan giant cashing in on the AI hype.

Looking ahead, TSMC estimates it will generate $23.3 billion, primarily from its mainstream 3nm and 5nm offerings. Major customers this time include NVIDIA and Apple, with the latter gearing up its production lines for the next-gen iPhone 16 series, likely using TSMC's 3nm nodes.

As for NVIDIA, Blackwell production is in full swing, and given that the company relies on TSMC for its main semiconductor needs, the Taiwan giant is poised for a gold rush next quarter.

The semiconductor industry is skewed in favour of TSMC, with Intel and Samsung lagging, especially regarding market presence.

TSMC is reportedly ramping up R&D expenditures for the future, and if current trends continue, the firm is set to dominate upcoming processes, including the 2nm node.
