Built out of magnesium alloy and aluminum, the Framework Laptop 16 offers an extensive amount of upgradability, and it is currently available with Ryzen 7 7840HS or Ryzen 9 7940HS Zen 4-based CPUs with Radeon 780M graphics. Framework also offers an optional Radeon RX 7700S 8GB 100W TDP Graphics Module, with a promise of future other GPUs. You can also add up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory and plenty of storage in two M.2 NVMe slots.

The 16-inch screen with QHD+ resolution has a 165Hz refresh rate, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and 500nits of brightness. You also get four speakers, an 85WHr battery with a 180W GaN charger, USB 4 and USB 3.2 ports, DisplayPort output, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Framework Laptop 16 is currently available for pre-order in Australia, Austria, the US, Canada, Germany, France, the UK, Netherlands, and Ireland, with more countries coming up soon. The price starts at $1,399 for the DIY Edition and goes up to $1,699 for the base version with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS. Adding the Graphics Module pushes the price up to $1,799 for the DIY Edition.
