In case you missed it, Frank Azor previously worked at Alienware, as one of the co-founders. At AMD, as Corporate VP, chief architect of gaming solutions, Frank Azor will report to AMD's head of Computing and Graphics, Sandeep Chennakeshu, and is certainly a big win for AMD as he is familiar with the gaming industry.
The news was confirmed over at Lisa Su's own Twitter account, welcoming Frank to AMD on his very first day at the company.
Extremely happy to welcome @AzorFrank on his very first day @AMD. Frank is a powerhouse in the industry and we are thrilled to have him as our new chief architect of gaming solutions. Welcome Frank!! pic.twitter.com/kykLFQ7aTu

Writing for Forbes, Patrick Moorhead, Founder, President, and Principal Analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, as well as an industry veteran, had nothing but praise for Frank Azor, describing him as "a gaming icon" across the industry, and saying that this is a great move and big win for AMD.
We will certainly hear more from Frank Azor, and he should be able to push AMD's gaming relationship to a whole new level.
