We knew that Razer is going to announce a new product at this year's CES, but we didn't even dream that it will be the company's first Razer wireless mouse. The new Razer Mamba is the first wireless rodent coming from the company famous for its gaming peripherals. In addition to the new mouse, Razer has announced the new headset called Carcharias.

According to the info that we have, Razer's new Mamba comes with a lag free 2.4GHz gaming grade wireless technology. What's more important is that the new Mamba is both wired and wireless mouse, and can be used in both modes, as it comes with detachable seven-foot cord. Other specs for this one include 5600DPI Razer Precision 3.5G laser, Razer Synapse on-board memory, Ultraslick teflon feet, 1000Hz Ultrapooling and 1ms response rate, battery and DPI indicators and large Hypersponse buttons.



Razer claims that this one can operate for 14 hours of continuous gaming without charging, and can be easily switched back to wired mode. It should be available directly from Razerzone shop in February while the rest of the world should get it sometimes in Q1 2009. Unfortunately, all of these features will come with a high price tag of US $129.99 and €129.99 in Europe.





In addition to the Mamba, Razer has announced the Carcharias, a circumaural shaped headset which focuses on comfort. The Razer Carcharias feature over-ear coverage, interchangeable ear pads and fully adjustable headband. According to Razer, the new headset boasts superior audio clarity with deep, thumping bass and a noise filtering microphone.



The new Carcharias should be available at Razerzone shop this month, while the rest of the retail/e-tail should get it sometimes in Q1 2009. The new Razer Carcharias has a suggested retail price of US $79.99 and €79.99 in Europe.
