In case you missed it, the HTC Vive Pro comes with two OLED 2880x1600 resolution screens, better straps, better headphones and two cameras that will be used for AR applications. HTC was quite keen to note that this is a 79 percent higher resolution and that it comes with support for SteamVR Tracking 2.0 technology.
Unfortunately, all of these upgrades/updates come with a steep price so the new HTC Vive Pro is available for pre-order with a price set at US $799/€880/£800.
According to HTC, the Vive Pro HMD should start shipping on April 5th and all those pre-ordered by June 3rd will get a free six-month trial to Viveport Subscription, allowing you to choose up to five titles per month from the library.
The good side of the story is that the original HTC Vive's price has been cut by $100, bringing it down to $499.
