Featuring a 24.5-inch TN-panel with 1920x1080p resolution and 1ms response time, the Asus ROG Strix XG258Q also has a support for AMD FreeSync with refresh rate from 48Hz to 240Hz. The rest of the specifications include 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 of maximum brightness, 170°/160° (H/V) viewing angles, and HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. Of course, the HDMI 1.4 output is limited to 120Hz while 240Hz refresh rate can be achieved with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs.
Asus also packed quite a few "exclusive" ROG features, including Extreme Low Motion Blur, Aura RGB lighting, GamePlus OSD and GameVisual modes.
Bear in mind that this is pretty much based on the same specifications as the earlier available Asus ROG Swift PG258Q, which has the same panel but has support for Nvidia G-Sync.
According to Anandtech.com, which spotted the Rog Strix XG258Q on sale at Amazon.com, the new monitor is available at US $449, which is over US $50 cheaper than the G-Sync equipped ROG Swift PG258Q.
