Based on a 49-inch QLED VA panel with 32:9 aspect ratio, 3840x1080 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 1800R curvature, the announced Samsung CHG90 is basically two 27-inch 1080p 16:9 aspect ratio screens packed in a single bezel. The rest of the specs include 350cd/m2 maximum brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time, 178/178 degree viewing angles and 125 percent sRGB coverage.
It also comes with Quantum Dot and HDR technology as well as a game mode option, Picture-by-Picture mode, and support Easy Setting Box, which allows users to partition the screen or display multiple screens.
The sleek stand supports height, swivel, and tilt adjustments and it comes with two HDMI and a DisplayPort input.
As announced earlier, the AMD FreeSync 2 generally brings better HDR support, Low Framerate Compensation (LFC), low-latency, high-brightness pixels, excellent black levels and a wide color gamut to display High Dynamic Range (HDR) content.
The 49-inch CHG90 will definitely be a star at the EA Games booth at Gamescom 2017 show and Samsung will also showcase it at the IFA 2017 show, scheduled to start on the 1st of September in Berlin, Germany.
The Samsung CHG90 is already available for pre-order with a US $1,499.99 price in the US and €1399.90 in Europe.
