The much speculated Star Wars MMO project that has been in development by Lucas Arts and BioWare looks like it will be officially announced on October 21st, according to invitations sent out by the companies. It is unknown if the two companies will embargo the announcement for a set period of time or not.

The Star Wars themed MMO project has not really been all that secret for quite awhile now, since EA head man, John Riccitiello, all but confirmed that the title was in development.

Speculation suggests that the Star Wars themed MMO will take in the KOTOR universe. Still, little is really known about the project at this time beyond the fact that BioWare’s Austin development studio has been working on it and that studio’s specialty is MMO projects.

We will have to see what details come on the October 21st event and we should have an idea of the specifics surround what the future may hold for this highly anticipated title.
