Former Dell and Novell manager Joe Marengi has been appointed to Quantum's board of directors.

During his time with Dell, Marengi was a high ranking executive, he joined Dell ten years ago serving as senior vice president of the Corporate Business Group for four years.

He ended his tenure at Dell as VP of Dell's Commercial Business Group, worth over $20 billion. Marengi also led Dell's services business for corporate and public customers.

Prior to Dell he worked at Novell from 1989 to 1997 and held several significant management positions.
