MSI's Wind netbook will finally be available with a 5200mAh 6-cell battery in late September. However, if you've already got a Wind with a 3-cell battery and you'd like more juice, you'll have to spend around €80 to get one.

We had a chance to see the Wind with the big battery in Belgrade and we were pleased to see that it doesn't turn the Wind into a hunchback. It does not protrude to the rear, unlike most 6-cell/8-cell batteries on ultra portables, keeping the footprint small. It just raises the rear a bit and some consumers will probably find it easier to type with the 6-cell unit.

There's still no word on 6-cell Wind pricing and you can expect it sometime in late September. Along with the Wind nettop, which should be available soon, MSI seems to be preparing a few more Wind branded surprises, but we'll get to that later when we can confirm the gossip.
