Sony has admitted to retailers as well as distributors that it will be at least summer before they will be close to an ability to fully supply and meet the orders or retailers and distributors of the PS4. This is what Andrew House president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment told the Wall Street Journal.
Sources indicate that Sony has sold over 6 million PS4 console even with all of the supply problems. As for Microsoft, they have only indicated that they have sold 3 million Xbox One consoles, but sales have increased significantly since the release of Titanfall, but the company has no plans to release any hard sales numbers till its quarterly results.
