There is a lot of interest for decent sub-$200 tablets and Polaroid is offering the Q7, a seven inch tablet for $129 with an unknown resolution and an unnamed quad-core processor. It features Android 4.4 KitKat and some neat little things such as HDMI out, two cameras and front speaking speakers. The tablet comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB or 16GB storage and no microSD support.
Polaroid fails to provide quite a few relevant details like the resolution of displays and cameras but with prices $129 for 7-inch, $149 for 8-inch, 10-inch selling for $179 you can definitely set your expectations at less than Retina for sure.
It should be enough for watching movies and playing games, but then again we don’t know the battery life. They look pretty decent and they should ship in spring and we expect to see them live at CES 2014 that starts next Tuesday January 7th 2014.
