The PS4’s main rival, Redmond’s Xbox One, is priced at $499, or $100 more than Sony’s new console. The price difference is substantial and it probably had an effect on Sony’s sales. Analysts claim PS4 sales are better than expected, reports Bloomberg. In spite of unexpectedly strong demand, Sony is not expected to face any supply issues.
The news comes as Microsoft rolls out its own console and it may indicate that Sony’s platform could have a slight advantage this time around. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see. Microsoft doesn’t exactly have a habit of throwing around sales numbers, but sooner or later it will have to release its Xbone figures.
