The feature was scrapped; but now apparently, Marc Whitten told IGN that, “If it is something that people are really excited about and want, we’re going to make sure that we find the right way to bring it back.”
The feature was removed simply to support other features that customers were asking for. If enough people want it, it sounds as if Microsoft is willing to deliver it. We actually think that this is one of the better features that the Xbox One seemed to get right out of the gate, and one of the ones when it was dropped puzzled the heck out of us.
