One of the features that many did hate to see go when Microsoft did its about-face on its Xbox One policies was the “Family Sharing” support. With this feature, additional accounts from others in the supported “Family” could have their own account; while the accounts did not have all of the same features, the majority of the Xbox Live Gold featured support to save families money that had multiple Xbox One players.

The feature was scrapped; but now apparently, Marc Whitten told IGN that, “If it is something that people are really excited about and want, we’re going to make sure that we find the right way to bring it back.”

The feature was removed simply to support other features that customers were asking for. If enough people want it, it sounds as if Microsoft is willing to deliver it. We actually think that this is one of the better features that the Xbox One seemed to get right out of the gate, and one of the ones when it was dropped puzzled the heck out of us.
