Krzanich, 52, joined Intel back in 1982. He moved up company ranks steadily and he was appointed Intel COO in January 2012. In the process he earned the respect of Intel execs, who are said to have a lot of respect for Krzanich’s strong leadership and extensive understanding of the industry.
However, it must be noted that Krzanich has a lot on his to-do list. Intel is still lagging behind in the mobile race and it failed in to capitalize on the smartphone and tablet boom. It is also facing the slowest PC market in decades.
