A lucrative hardware deal supplying a public sector education contract gas gone to an SME supplier at the expense of Dell.
Probrand took the five figure contract away from deal by convincing Coventry Council’s Woodway Park School to switch from Dell to Hewlett-Packard (HP) and saved it 35 per cent on the overall order.
Stephen Bushell, group head of new business at Probrand, told CRN that getting government accreditation was the key to the deal. Bushell said it gave Probrand the chance to talk to the school and convince them to switch from Dell and helped them save money that will be invested back into the school.
Deborah Brown, resources manager at Woodway Park School, said that much of its system was Dell based, but the Probrand proved that HP provided a better cost, availability and specification match.”More here.
