Apple and Google are already in the market, but Intel thinks it can do a bit better. According to TechCrunch, Intel has grown tired of “everyone doing a half-assed Google TV,” so it wants to show everyone how it’s done.
Of course, unlike other set-top boxes, Intel won’t use ARM chips in the device. It is also unclear when the Intel-box should launch. It should show up at CES, but it could be months before we see a roll out.
