Google’s long term strategy revolves around integration, basically forcing people into using Google+ on their toasters, but now there’s some good news for Gmail and Google Drive users.

Google has now made it possible for users to attach 10GB files from Google Drive into Gmail messages and this seems like a welcome addition to both services. However, the files aren’t sent as traditional attachments, since they are on Google Drive. Basically if you choose to alter the files in any way, the recipients will see the changes long after you fire off the email.

It is hardly a revolutionary feature, Dropbox offers a similar way of attaching files, as well as Sparrow for Mac. Still, it is a very welcome addition for business and leisure. [Piracy and porn also come to mind. Ed]
